Flying Squirrel versions

Okay, I’m just shooting the moon here at my desk and I think this might be the first time when I’m playing with both Squirrels at the same time.

I noticed the Blue one feels like a brick, black one feels way lighter. I only took them apart to this point. When did they change designs?

The Black one is a Duncan Mosquito which shares the same body style but different internals. As far as I know theres only 1 Flying Squirrel design, but at least two Duncan Mosquito mold designs. Ironically the Duncan Mosquitos that have screw caps and can be taken apart don’t have the moldings to put the steel weights. The Mosquitos with glued on caps have the same internals as the flying squirrel on the body itself and weights can be added.

The Flying Squirrel has 3 steel balls under each cap if I recall correctly.

Thank you.

Now I’m thinking 1967 Mercury Cougar and 1967 Ford Mustang. Really close and very similar but different.

Or Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Cuda for the Mopar folks

I’m sorry, I can’t translate Ford.

If you could speak Chevy that’d be much appreciated.

Does the Chevy Camaro and the Pontiac Trans-Am meet this need?

If I had the means to start a car to restore, it would be either a Firebird or Cuda for sure.
