Hey!

I’ve been yoyoing for about 3-4 months and thought I’d finally move onto a more complicated trick and this looked perfect. Just the kind of cool technical trick I want to hone in.

I’ve got most of it down but was just wondering if anyone has some tips on how to get the tower to fan out more, for me it’s a 50/50 on whether it looks like a proper tower or the middle just compresses together.

Does anyone also have any info on where to learn that last green triangle dismount with the inside flip? Right now I just throw it out the front but I get a wrap around my finger.

Thanks!

Just experiment with adjusting the tower to make it pretty after you catch the slack. Once you get comfortable adjusting it to be pretty, you can do those things quick and without thinking about it. Using more fingers in thetower with nonthrowhand like whole hand grip it can help also.

The inside flip and dismount doc does is a flourish and more or less the same thing you’re doing by hopping out the front. If you dont want a twist , keep the triangle on the thumb, hop out the front but let the yoyo go up and out of the gt and back down on the inside of your arms and over index onto the trapeze

Just a silly question; is this a yo-yo trick; or is it a string trick? From what I can see, the yo-yo just sort of sits there while the string is manipulated around it into ever increasingly complex and equally boring patterns. I know this stuff is all the rage, but personally I find this a bit contrived. It is like a secret-ritual more than a trick. Don’t even get me started on the name.

It’s a picture trick

Can you explain further? What is a picture trick?

A string trick that makes a picture?

I see your point that there’s more string manipulation than YoYo manipulation, but it does involve some jumps and catches and a dismount.

This is amazing. I might have to dig a yo-yo out of the moving boxes and try it

ok starting to figure this out, just need to get the kwyjibo like jump to the back string working better and the little tower unwind……gonna take a bit to get all of it really smooth/dialed in. practicing this is alot of untying knots in my case…

I’m still working on getting the Kami whip down lol. At least with my new oasis it sounds like a little chime—y song

When I was learning this I spent more time undoing knots than yoyoing

I gloss over the whip in my tutorial, but here’s a tutorial that breaks it down further

Thanks doc!

Looks like I need to work on making the c shape a bit, and my aim as a lot of the time it seems to slap the side of the YoYo
