TK No-Jive, Turbo Bumble Bee, Spintastics Quick Silver Hybrid Mark Hayward edition (punta fija) Cometa Jumbo Cobra, and K8 Funk clubs (counts as 1).
Let me understand this statement. You think the Klondike is an amazing performing yo-yo; but it does not make your top 5 because choosing a yo-yo is “not about objectivity”. If that is the case then what value is your recommendation? If you are not objective; and its all about your personal “spark” how will that set of factors translate to others? To my reading; you have essentially called your recommendations worthless to others.
Geezer bro I think you have really good, progressive yoyo opinions most of the time, I really do. But you sure do pick the weirdest, most pointless battles sometimes
What battle am I picking? Long descriptions about the play implies that a recommendation is being made. I am just noting that this person’s top five really only applies to them.
It is very possible that he worded it not perfectly in English (he is Italian like me) and sometimes when we write we create some confusion, I seen it thousand times happening to me living abroad.
I am pretty sure (also because I know Gian) that he wanted to say that while the Klondike is an amazing performer it doesn’t make his top 5 has he prefer different shapes and different feelings in play (I know Gian like organic a lot).
I can be wrong but for sure he will answer to you
Oh wow! I wasn’t expecting my humble post, spawned by my beloved toys, would have caused this sort of reaction, sorry it triggered you…
Well, I understand the point you are trying to raise, but I believe it is founded on the wrong premises, therefore I disagree with you.
The issue I see with it, is that your whole argument is based on assumptions
If you read what I wrote on my original post, you will see there is no instance of me recommending anything, instead you will find references to my experiences and opinions.
The fact you decided to take them as if they were recommendations it is out of my control. Now, if you want to consider my opinions worthless I have no issue with that, you are entitled to your own opinion, that’s the beauty of it!
Having said what I had to, I do have a recommendation and it’s…
…RELAX MATE…
(Incoming opinion here)
We already live in a difficult world, I believe the purpose of yoyos it’s to bring fun, joy, and happiness. In other words good vibes, it kind of feels today you are bringing the opposite to the table for reasons I can not really see or understand .
Btw thank you @SR1 and @Albertino for the support!
LAST MINUTE EDIT
As I was reading what i just wrote I realised I put FUN, JOY and HAPPINESS in the same sentence…
I can not suppress the urge to share this gem of the past
I enjoyed reading your post. Especially liked hearing your thoughts and stories about each throw. I think we both have similar preference’s in terms of shapes/performance. Definitely post some updates if there are changes to your top 5!
Long response about recommendations, just in case people don’t want to read.
Summary
Aren’t recommendations supposed to be subjective? What would be the point of objective recommendations? You would just be reading facts/stats off a page and be done with it, no recommendation necessary. Do you only purchase yo-yos based on objective measures? Do you only listen to recommendations devoid of opinion? Does a personal “spark” never change your perspective about a throw?
I also don’t think a comment in a thread dedicated to opinions can be considered a recommendation, no matter how long the descriptions are. I find the added stories a good, fun addition to the list of top 5. It adds some more entertainment and enjoyment to the comment. Not only does it not discredit the poster’s recommendations, it does not detract from the post or take away from the spirit of the conversation.
Gian the only thing I can add to you post is that after post Charlie the Unicorn you also need the Boomer club sticker close to your avatar
Thanks man, haha that’s true, every time you post a pic of one of your throws I think ‘damn I would love that!’
For sure, I will be happy to update the top 5 if and when it will change.
Hahaha! Man, I didn’t realise Charlie was sooo old until your comment!

There’s a couple yoyos that are similar that could switch out places like the valley and baryon and speedaholic and shooting star but I think that’s the order.
I want to try both the Hades and Nucleon! I also want to keep this hobby cheap, so I have bit of a dilemma I should probably spend more time practicing with my perfectly decent yoyo and less time looking at other throws.
Why not diorama? Do you have a link for the avalanche. Did they announce it anywhere? I never saw the news
