CLYW Peak Guide

So with CLYW’s upcoming release of the Legacy Peak, I want to know y’all opinions on how it plays, feel, compared to more modern stuff like the butterball and the cloudberry OS. I’m a sucker for a good organic, and can’t wait to hear how it plays.

Only 100 people will ever get to know. With only 100 made Im curious if there will be black Friday type activities going on at Nats with people wanting to get it.

I don’t think it will be much different from an old Peak. I’ve only played a third run Peak, it’s decent but if you’re looking for some magical yoyo experience you will be very disappointed.

I would say it’s one of those yoyos that is easy to play for a long time because it doesn’t do anything extreme, but that also means you might find it a bit boring on your first throw.

I own an ILYY Lynx and At Design MoNo which are both Peak inspired yoyos with similar dimensions, I think they’re both really good cheaper alternatives. The MoNo actually plays very similarly but has a very rough blast that I find annoying (especially because they didn’t mask the walls so you feel some extra friction on the string). The Lynx is like a straight up better performing and more floaty and fun version with an absolutely amazing finish (I have the FPM made soda blasted recent run).

All of this to say I still really want a Peak rerelease just because it’s cool, and I’d probably get rid of the MoNo if I’m able to get one.
