It’s early. My wife’s still emotional and I’m not fighting it. Tree is up…
Needs some effort but we got time lol

Everybody in my family is an “After-Thanksgiving Nazi”, except for my sister, she’s the kind of person to try to celebrate Christmas on Christmas, by that I mean she’s basically celebrating Christmas 2024 AND Christmas 2025 right now… I’m not ready to think that far ahead.
I too was raised to be an “after Thanksgiving only” Christmas decorator but my wife is Filipino and they start celebrating in September lmfao… luckily the tree is still in storage right now
As a proud Filipino, I don’t understand y we would do this
i mean the real question is why not?
In Italy the tree must be put up on the 8th December usually with also the nativity scene (which can be small or large, my parents when younger used to do a sick giant one in the living with mountains, rivers of water that actually works, lights and similar).
If it was for me I will leave it done every day, Christmas is one of those periods of time where I feel really happy
Been a busy November and the first time we’ve ever got Christmas up before Thanksgiving. Thankfully a bit of this display was up for Halloween and had a few things to flip over to Christmas mode. Still plenty of assembly required with a lot of diy elements.
I can’t wait for it to be over when the incessant, 24/7 Christmas finally music stops. Really, how many times do you have to hear Jingle Bell Rock, Feliz Navidad or Dreaming of a White Christmas???
Sounds like you have t heard enough Christmas music. Mariah obviously needs to serenade you further.
I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS. ONLY A HIPPOPOTAMUS WILL DO!
(this is a complete sentence)
personally i prefer it to the normal drivel that’s played 1000 times a day when it isnt christmas
My artificial Christmas tree has been set up since 2022. That’s what happens when one spouse is disabled and the other is working full time while going back to college.
I am so excited to finally take the tree down in January now that I’ve finished my degree!
