Ok, so I need help with my 7D. If you own one you know it shoots and puts the video in an odd codec that needs to be converted or whatnot. How do I do it? Because it has been way to long since I have put out a video.
So you just need help converting? I use Any Video Converter. It’s worked well for me in the past.

I need to convert the codec, converting the file reduces the quality. I have already tried.
Sometimes yes. What codec is it that the video has/what program are you trying to edit with and what codec does it say it has/needs?
I have done some research and apparently the 7D’s codec that it uses isn’t friendly and doesn’t work with most software unless its a super powered cpu, I use Vegas Pro 9. But I have tried TO CONVERT THE CODEC WHICH DIDN’T WOR. Sorry about caps. I just did some more research and was told Adobe Media Encoder which I think is with After Effects so I will reinstall that on my system.
