i wish they had some pink sparkleflies in that pink sparkle they did the imperial with

Ya me too, but I donā€™t think theyā€™re out there. The imperial has always come in that pink colour, where as the pink butterfly was a target exclusive 2 years back. So I didnt expect them to do the sparkle pink butterfly - since it is not part of the standard line up. Why? No ideaā€¦

seems like an odd omission given they have the plastic. my inner 9 y.o. girl thatā€™s obsessed with pink yoyos is very disappointed lol

IIRC, I think the advice was put a little cloth on the end of a thin dowel or something and poke through the axle hole (but please read Justinā€™s post for details).

I get what youā€™re saying here. But letā€™s just be clear, you donā€™t need to be a girl to like pink. :sparkling_heart: That is personal to me because I got a lot of pushback as a kid regarding my favourite colour being pink at the time.

I love pink yo-yos, but I love purple more.

you are absolutely correct. let me elaborate. admittedly i spent a long time with a negative view of pink as a color. not as a masculine vs feminine thing, just wasnt a fan of the color in most of the applications of it i was familiar. the only 2 pink things i had were a tshirt i picked out when i got my braces, and a cannondale bike with super 90s color scheme of black and pink that i have to this day.

nine years ago i had a litte girl. she quickly gravitated toward pink and very early declared it as her favorite color. in support of her decision, my whole world turned very pink and i began to warm up to the various shades. when i started yoyoing i quickly fell in love with the application of pink on yoyos and many of mine are pink or include it. my daughter is 9 now and i show off all my dope pink throws to her so sheā€™ll ooo and ahhh. thatā€™s my mental association with my newfound appreciation for the color.

i apologize if i offended you or came across as suggesting gender bias in color selection. i am aware nothing is further from the truth. i am so sorry that you have had to deal with any negative reaction to something you love and who you are as a person, and i have nothing but respect for you. going forward i will choose my words on the subject more carefully to avoid accidentally implying something so hurtful :v: :vulcan_salute:

Pink yoyoā€™s are SICK! In the good way, haha. No shame in saying that as an almost 40 y/o man here. :slightly_smiling_face:

lol, you didnā€™t offend me, i just think gendered colours are silly. Pink is still my third favourite colour, after blue and purple.

Thanks for sharing your anecdote, that is a very cute story. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Stoked that Target had the ones I wanted. Iā€™ve been holding on to this treasured Mothra sticker from Ryan Spahr for a while, finally decided on a sparkly orange home for it.

Haha Iā€™m actually only working with one! The red and green ones I had to get on a vacation when the string on my Gnomad broke, followed by the replacement butterfly string braking. And the Easter one I only opened to get a photo for FAF last year. My goal is to use only the pink one from 2 years ago until the paint starts to ware off or it shatters against the ground.

that mothra sticker is EPIC!

very jealous! those are awesome :metal:
