I’ve been waiting for this, obsessively watching the quantities available for the throws I have in my cart. Thankfully none of them sold out, order placed!
Aight got an infiltrate( the aluminum one), the new ot sig strings bc I was curious, and some slim string so i can be looping again. Let’s goooo shoutout to Black Friday.
This is not very Black Friday if you ask me I was hopeful there would be some great deals but nahhhh this is just a below average discount. Where’s the 40% off the half off old stock the crazy deals that get big sales
kinda odd that your first intro to a community is entitled complaining about sale prices
edit: i feel the need to expand in a less snarky way. i admittedly haven’t been in this community long, only months. but it took no time to be absolutely overwhelemed by the generosity and kindness of this community, not the least of which was andre and yye. if you took 30 seconds to look, you’d find that andre and the yye crew give endlessly of themselves to the community to not only keep it going but to propel it forward and on to new generations. even most recently producing a line of trick cards to help fledgling clubs and players
I’m not sure if you took a wrong turn and thought you were on reddit, but you wont find sympathetic ears here with that attitude. if, however, you are genuinely interested in the hobby, you will find more than enough help, kindness, and generosity here. i hope you can come at this from a different angle and find genuine community here.
I get where you’re coming from, but I think it’s important to realize how slim the profit margins are when it comes to making yoyos. Factor in that both the retailer (YYE) & the manufacturers have to make money, and we should be thankful for any discount. Except for the big names like YYF, Duncan, OD, and a few others, most yoyo company employees do it on the side of their main job. Ain’t anybody getting rich off of yoyos.
If you’re looking for deals on new throws, the Yoyo Day sale (Jun 5) is a little bigger.
I got into yoyos about a year ago and have discovered my current preference is wide V-shapped bi-metals. I really like Connor Seals too, so this seemed like the perfect throw for me!
