No $30+ plastic yoyo is a ‘no brainer’ to me. I expect plastic to always be less than metal.
If you want a ‘no brainer’ plastic, get a Classic. $9.99 and with proper response and unresponsive bearing, it will stand up to ANY plastic yoyo on the market. Probably even perform better than most.
So correct me if I’m wrong, it was mentioned that the big dippers weight and size was changed and redistributed from the borealis to achieve a similar feel?
The Big Dipper is a plastic re-design of the Borealis. Specs had to be changed to deal with the difference in material, but our goal was to create Zach’s ideal metal and Zach’s ideal plastic. He’s pretty happy with both, and we hope that you will be too!

My thoughts in response to the title- Try not to have any expectations, for better or worse. That way you cannot ever be let down or disappointed, and usually pleasantly surprised!

Haha. Not necessarily. My earlier comment has nothing to do with liking it at all.
Unfortunately, where I live, the only option is ‘buy if you wanna try’. Seeing as I don’t want to spend the equivalent of about $50AUD on a plastic yoyo, I wont be buying it and thus won’t be trying it.
But hey - that doesn’t mean that if I ever was to try it I wouldn’t like it. I may love it!
I’m sure with CLYW at the helm, the yoyo will be very good quality all around.
