Beginning CAD

Tolerances need to be +/- .0002" for the bearing post & +/- .001 for everything else.

Hm. I guess standard is what to use when designing, then. As for using eMachineShop, I found this tutorial for making Revolve objects, like a yoyo:

Choose File | New.
Choose View | Top.
Draw a circle and set the diameter to the largest diameter of the shape.
On the numeric bar set Z to the overall length of the shape.
Choose View | Front.
In the right side of the dotted axis line draw a 2D closed shape that touches 3 sides of the rectangle (see above). Keep the shape away from the center axis if you want a center hole. There must be no overlapping lines or open lines.
Select all the lines and click the Group button.
On the numeric bar set Z to Revolve.
Choose View | 3D.

I’m at school right now, so I can’t test this, but I think it should work.

I made it too wide.

I can make a video tutorial if you still need it.

How do you take videos directly off of the computer? Like, not using a video camera?

what I meant to say is clearance not tolerance. From the ID of the bearing, it probably needs .002 clearance right? to slide on fine? and for the OD .002 larger than the bearing diameter? so like .502 for the diameter around the bearing?
