Despite what the name suggests, Becko Prime isn’t Colin Beckford’s signature yo-yo. It’s UNPRLD’s answer to the growing trend toward wider throws, built on the bones of the Cognizance and widened out with the same Distortion Rim Construction, designed specifically for the extreme, effortless-feeling “Jawn” style of tricks.
The defining trait is that mid-size diameter paired with a dramatically wide body, an unusual combination that keeps the silhouette compact while opening up serious room for trick creation. Every fine stepped detail is rounded off, and POM on the outermost rim gives the whole yo-yo a soft, smooth feel in the hand. Inside, a stainless steel rim takes over for spin power and stability, so the soft outer touch and the solid inner metal work together rather than compete, keeping tricks controlled and stable deep into a combo without demanding much effort to throw.
The name Becko Prime is a nod to the Xenon Prime, named with permission from Xavier Ng, and the color lineup was hand-picked by the UNPRLD administration team, Colin Beckford, Daniel Kim, and Tyler Hsieh, each choosing their own. This is a tri-material build made for players chasing the wide-body trend without sacrificing ease of play. Throw it and see how little effort extreme tricks can actually take.
