B/s/t question

I haven’t been on here in a couple of years now but since then new tax laws were implemented requiring us to report our extra income over a lower threshold. The “rules” post recommends using g&s like it always has but I was wondering if that’s still the standard? I was thinking of selling more of my throws and don’t want anyone spending more money if they don’t have to (myself or the buyer) and I’d also rather not have it registered as “income” given the laws I was referring to.

Tl;dr - is everyone using friends and family now? Or are we still mainly using g&s?

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in, if there’s a better area, I missed it and I’m sorry.

i advise people to use g&s, i believe the threshold of that tax law changed.

I didn’t know the laws changed again, I need to go look at that!

I always use g&s unless I’ve bought from that person a few times. Still risky honestly. G&S all day for me

The goods & services advice is what any average member should and will be referred too! Thank you very much….please follow all rules of the BST as laid out….

It’s back up to only reporting if your earned income is over $15,750 for most folks. not tax advice. (link)

Sweet, makes me feel much better!

I’ll be using g&s for sure

goods and service is of course the safer option,

although, I and a few others who are active buyers and sellers usually use F&F to avoid the fees but proceed with caution as always (seller/trader/buyer feedback goes alooooong round these parts)

Cool. That’s more than I made my first 3 years at my job so I’m safe for yo-yo related BST lol.
