Avoid Kremer's Toy and Hobby

I put this in unrelated because they are not a yoyo specialty store, they still have one yoyo up on their page, but needless to say Iโ€™m very annoyed with their customer service despite them having positive reviews.

I recently purchased a yoyo from them as I assumed I found the OG Clear Green Velocity Yoyo. I did not get the original model. Which I would not have bought if it was not the original Velocity in clear green, something from my childhood.

I contacted them May 19th via email, after some days I decided since I got no word back to use their email through their website, so I did. But still no dice. So I found their number and called them. I spoke with a man and was told he will see what he can do. I let him know this model is different by release as it was modified when being rereleased in around like 2012. I got this instead and was very unhappy. Itโ€™s perfectly okay to mess up and not know the difference, but it is something entirely else to ghost me despite my callings. I have called them three times now and each time I was assured theyโ€™d speak to the owner, the owner knows, and now the listing is down. However I have not heard anything back not one time from them.

I asked for a refund, heck, I even was understanding that companies may not do that, and knowing it isnโ€™t too expensive that shipping would add up, especially if it was resold online ($6 for shipping). So I asked for even a partial refund knowing that, yeah, there are some factors. But knowing it was a $27ish experience, I am finding it hard to understand their reasoning for not reaching out for a simple mistake. I would not have bought this if I knew it was a rerelease. The only reason I wanted it again was because my axle is bent on my childhood one.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and all I want is even just a partial refund for the mixup. Iโ€™d even ship it to them on their dime if they truely wanted it back. Good customer feedback is important when it comes to these niche hobbies and having a lack of care or communication from either side is not really good. I understand they may possibly be confused that it does say Velocity on it, but I have mentioned why it isnโ€™t the same and also why I would not have bought it if I knew.
