This did indeed go out Monday. Should be arriving to @bigbs_domain any day now. The mail clerk did say it could take a couple extra days cuz of the weather.

It takes caps/weight rings!

V.2 did in fact show up today. My initial impressions are very good. Currently playing with the UL’s and full caps. @suspense , nice piece you have here. Your artwork is so killer too!

Question, do the rings somehow fit? They don’t seem to stay in place. Are they meant to go under the caps?

They fit when I sent them out, they could be getting worn out though. The step is supposed to face downward.

If they don’t fit my solution is to just dab a bit of super glue on the sides and then wipe a piece of paper along the side. This gives it a bit more thickness which helps caps or rings fit more snug for me.

Got ya. Ya, they both seem to have worn. I’ll try your superglue method to build the diameter a small amount. I wonder too if it was simply because the package was super cold sitting in the mailbox. I’ll give them another try before applying any glue.

@AKYOYOMIKE , are you ready to take possession?

Wow! Asora V2 is an interesting throw! I mean this in such a good way. On paper it seems like it would be too light…. Doesn’t play that way. 60 ish grams feels nice and stable and moves easily. I tend to like 65-68. Installing brass UL brought Asora to 62 g and weirdly enough, I preferred the lighter play. On paper the diameter seems too large, the width, too narrow (57x41 mm). This ratio must be a sweet spot!! Asora is so good at regens and just fits nice and snuggly in my hand. Such a good balance in play!

I really wanted to compare Asora to the Panorama because that’s kind of what it felt like. Not the case though, Asora is what I wanted Panorama to be. P is just not my jam but Asora is! Maybe it’s the higher walls on Panorama.

@suspense !! Well done my friend.

Oh, edit: I think there was silicone installed, I had to remove it as the reponse was pretty well spent. I installed OD thick pads and they are working well.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I spent a lot of time narrowing down the Diameter and Width. It’s basically, the biggest diameter I could go without it reaching into a territory that made it feel large. That extra diameter helps give it a bit more spin time while also being necessary to fit caps into the design.

41mm is kind of where I think the sweet spot is. I feel like, anything under 41 starts to feel either too restrictive, or leaning too far into a slimline option. I also think that this is one of, if not the most comfortable width’s with slimlines, any slimmer and it starts to feel too narrow in the hand imo.

Asora is supposed to “play better than it looks” or “decieve you” - It looks like your average FH1 organic style yoyo that most people could write off as just another slimline. But I hope that once people actually play it, they enter a bit of a confused state where the spec sheet doesn’t match up to how it plays. I truly feel like the spec sheet of yoyo’s only tells half the story, or less about a yoyo.

Personally, I spent years testing and trying multiple yoyos within this same category. Organics ranging from the Grail, to the MMC, YWET, Parlay, Panorama, Bassline, End pt2, Sudo and so many more. I needed something that had more performance. I wasn’t satisfied with the common thought that “organics are less performant chill yoyos.” why can’t I have a chill fun organic that ALSO has performance? I loved the feel of these designs, but I was always wishing they spun longer. I wanted to have my cake and eat it too.

After Asora 02, I basically spent a full year playing it back to back with all the organics I owned or could get my hands on along with performant models too. Asora 02 fell short from my standards which is why 03 came into existance. I think that, pound for pound, Asora 03 is one of, if not the best organic option on the market now.

I would’ve never said this about 01, or 02, nor did I feel right about saying that about 03 until now. I truly don’t think you can find anything better if you’re in the search for something along these lines. I’m grateful for everyone who’s sent me messages of praise for the design. It truly made the time I spent working on the design and all of the art worth it. Last year was … a real struggle for me, and everyone’s words of support really helped me power through the loss of my father - so thank you.

Asora comes shipped with silicone by default and will accept Flow Groove OD pads for anyone that does not want to silicone it to clarify if anyone was unsure about their own Asora.

Thank you!
