I certainly can’t be the only one🤔?
I have had a personal YOYODOC plate for many years now. I move it to each new truck I get.
It was on my 2009 Toyota Tacoma since 2009, until some lady totaled it last year. The truck was white and the plate was white Pearl with blue lettering.
When I got my 2021 Tacoma, my kids suggested the ‘Cement’ (gray) colorway. It’s a pretty nice color but being a former Professional Car painter, every time I look at it, it looks like a primered truck I need to paint, lol.
So……. I’m putting the old plates on the new truck and immediately notice I don’t like the contrast between the plate colors and the gray truck color. I’ve been noticing the re-issued old school California plate colors(black and yellow) and suddenly have a bright idea(it happens here and there). The old school plates would look sweeter with the gray truck.
Happy with my vision, I go to the DMV and order new plates. As I got my receipt, my smile faded a bit when the girl told me it would take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get them🙀.
About 9 months had passed and several days ago I suddenly asked my Wife, ‘I wonder what those Clowns are doing with my order? Maybe they just want to use them to mark my grave after I die of old age’?
The very next day I got a text, ‘Your personal plates are ready for pickup’.
I put them on the truck today. I think it was worth the wait. They just fit the look of the truck, better.
The second thought I had was, ‘I wonder who else has a plate with a yo-yo related theme?
I started thinking of different plate ideas like 31NJIVE or TiYoYo or FxtAxle or 720LOOP or TiKrown, etc…….Probably a 100 or so ideas.
I can’t be the only one with a ‘yo-yo plate’.
Anybody???
