I’ve always loved your style @ChrisFrancz
Also very nice job @HappyYoyoer looks like you did an amazing job of capturing that scene.
@Chaman holy cow dude!!! I love the look of super ornate pencil drawings like this. When I was in school I used to love to do drawings with blue ink pen, I love the way those come out looking similar to to the old style blue and white ceramic ware.

Unfortunately all of that stuff has long since disappeared and I no longer have any to show. :pensive:

I havent painted or drawn in YEARS but I felt inspired and collected all my different finishes of black paint and did some black on black. It’s hard to photograph the way the light hits it. Pretty satisfied with the result considering my major lack of practice!

My mom wanted to take a watercolor class and I was like, mom, it’s been a long time but I know how to watercolor, lets go buy supplies. She is enjoying it but I think I fell back in love with watercolor.

I’m getting really into it. I traced a screenshot I took of Elden Ring and painted it over the last week or so and I had a good time doing so! Layering super thin washes over each other over and over is very relaxing/meditative.

I wish I hadn’t sketched with graphite, erased, and sketched again on top of the messed up paper. The spot where the knight’s shoulder/leg area is at its max detail due to that. Other than that I think I need to practice grass and get better at drawing from a reference rather than tracing, but I really just wanted to do a bunch of washes and practice color matching. Which also needs more practice, I think it came out a good bit desaturated from the original screenshot. I have to push my darks darker next time.

heres the screenshot for reference:

Did this years ago (want to say 2006?) of a local wooden roller coaster that recently turned 100 years old - Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in CA. This was done on scratchboard and colored with marker after.

I got some new paper today, did a 1 hour painting. I just painted till it was done and it happened to take an hour. Going for a looser style here, not from a reference. I’m super happy with this tbh. The clouds were so fun to do, it took about 15-20 seconds to dab some blue pigment in once I wet the paper. Boom! clouds!

Another 5x7, and it’s one of my favorites yet! I saw someone do a similar technique but with only 2 colors for the sky on the watercolor subreddit and I had to try for myself. Most of the time making this was waiting for the previous layer to dry lol. I thought about adding islands or plants but I like how it looks now and I didn’t want to make it worse so I just stopped.

Really happy with the reflective water texture, too.

RIP kitty. Great drawing though! Did they have one eye or is that just the angle?

Thanks! She had both eyes. It’s just the angle.

I started this in 2017. I need to finish it one day. I guess. Ballpoint pen.

I love ink pen drawings. The shading on that is fantastic.
