This is a good question and I am curious what Tesla will say. I have no idea why Tesla called it rebellious, I do agree. It is rebellious to me because of the insanely high level of difficulty for a prelim. 3A players typically play it a bit more safe with prelims because it is just such a huge risk to include so many high risk elements; getting an early discard (-6 majors) could have tanked the nats run for her (see pat borg). She absolutely didn’t need to make a prelim this risky to make finals and yeah performing such a difficult and risky prelim in 3a is rebellious to me bc of how far it rails against what we typically see in 3A prelims.
She is a hero and this is, imo, the best 3A 1 minute stage performance ever.
