But I will say it again. It’s settled. I shouldn’t have posted it here. Let’s just do the intelligent thing and drop it. Nothing good will come from this discussion.
I haven’t been singing his praises, I’ve just been skeptical of you. Feel to quote me anywhere in this thread where I explicitly “sung his praises.”
When you make these claims, the burden of proof is on you, that’s why I asked you to post pics. And the pics were totally fine and thorough, but you called them “terrible.” That’s why I became skeptical of you.
If what you claim truly happened, happened… I’m sorry and I do feel bad for you. Your own responses in the thread have however not helped you. Sorry king.
If you would’ve further investigated you would’ve seen that the damage was minimal. Those pictures could’ve easily hid the damage and the lighting wasn’t the best. I also stated that the problem wasn’t necessarily the damage, but the vibe. You’re skeptical of me but somehow not skeptical of him saying that he had someone watch him pack it up? Or that someone else said they had bad interactions with him? Nah you rushed to his defense. Hmmm… sounds a little biased. Don’t ya think? King?
This is a juicy finger pointing thread.
I will just say I have had no issues with Matt personally so I am not going to side with either of you. I think a partial refund from Matt’s side (although unfair to Matt) would easily solve this even if he has to take a small loss to keep folks happy. I’ve been in those shoes before where sometimes you just need to take a loss.
As for the vibe issue, I unscrewed a brand new 54 SE once and it became a vibe monster. I messed around with it for 30 minutes and finally found the dead smooth amount of force required. Some yoyos are extremely picky about that stuff.
A partial refund was the first thing I requested from Matt. He immediately denied me.
Because it was mint and now my pictures hide the damage wow !
Also I’ve said that I’m gonna mess with the yoyo when I get home from work. And that it was a mistake posting here. And that it should be deleted so we can move on to more important things. But people keep chiming in.
So why keep stirring it!!! @YoyoD3N
I’m not stirring bro. I think you made an honest mistake and I’m willing to take the L on it. I don’t think you’re a bad dude or intentionally sent me a faulty yoyo. You’ve got enough good feedback to know that you’re not out to screw people over. Let’s just be intelligent about this and drop it.
the end
Lmao at this point I’m not defending Matt (and haven’t been) I’m defending myself against your inability to read what I post ig
But since you asked what I think, I’ll let you know:
Like I stated I brought them into Lightroom and boosted the shadows and found no damage… you can read that here:
Anyways, next point:
Dude you literally just joined the forum in June lmao… WHO WOULDN’T be skeptical of a newer member bringing a claim like this against a longtime forum member with a great trading history? Like I said, I’m very sorry if what you claim happened to you actually happened and that would be a major, disappointing bummer if Matt screwed up like this.
As far as the packing up thing…
I mean I guess if you take it super literally like he had someone specifically come over to watch him pack up some packages that’s weird lol… but likely not what happened. Yoyoers have friends too! He was prolly just hanging out with a thrower and packing up some BST stuff while they were chillin, IDK.
Once again, not ONE time before this reply have I “rushed to his defense” - feel free to find a post where I have done this in this thread, go ahead. For extreme clarity: I haven’t defended him, only have been skeptical of you. Those two things are not the same thing.
Your behavior in this thread is… interesting… and doesn’t help your case my man. That’s all I’m sayin.
You keep saying “Delete this thread!” and “Let’s do the intelligent thing and drop it” yet you continue to stir this up. Super odd.

Ok good point @SR1. Me and @Mhoodlum have settled it. Love all you guys. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
It’s Friday, go grab some food and drink and celebrate being alive. I am glad it is resolved.

@YoyoD3N have you tried taking the yo-yo apart, removing the bearing, and re seating it? If the bearing is super tight like on some Luftverks I’ve seen, fragments of the bearing seat can chip off and get stuck between the bearing and the yo-yo, causing vibe. If the fit is tight, try cleaning out the bearing seat and then lightly lubricating the bearing seat post.
Real talk. Anyone wanna sell me an Exios?
