blue/yellow or green/yellow would be nice too. i dont think it will look like an egg as long as the colors are soft
To be honest the first time I saw it for a moment I thought it was already “half swapped” - a two tone cyan color scheme ![]()
The current protos use a standard grit blast which is pretty smooth. I toy with the idea of going rougher for more old school vibes.
Oh, a heavy blast would be really nice IMO. Maybe something similar to candy blast?
That would actually be pretty sweet as well, like the OG Pyro re-release, but in that spring blue.
Two toned half-swaps never come to the forefront of my mind for some reason, haha.
Exciting stuff!
Colorway-wise, I will say I probably wouldn’t get one if it only came in a red/yellow half-swap ![]()
I agree with some of the other comments that the blue on the protos is already kind of perfect; it reminds of a clear sky on a beautiful summer day
. That said, a half-swap with that blue and a medium-soft pink would be lit. Or a blue/white half-swap like a puffy cloud. Just some happy light colors. Something about red to me always feels so heavy and serious. Blue and yellow would also be a nice swap too though (I think the blue would help prevent the other side from feeling like an egg).
The protos look good to me - color and finish.
Love organics.
Here are some quick renders for possible colour combinations:
If anyone has nice acid wash textures I could use, let me know.
my eyes are instantly pulled to that two-tone blue! ![]()
Green yellow or blue yellow is awesome!
So many good ones, I like the blue/green a lot from an earthy standpoint, the blue/yellow gives great spring flower vibes to me though too. The two-toned blue is also enjoyably unique.
I’d buy the blue on blue.
But if there is a solid option I’d purchase that instead
Add one more for blue on blue, thats gorgeous
100% this one without a question

I made this one in Gimp by going to Render > Noise > Solid Noise and selecting Tileable.
Then in Fusion for Appearance > Color I selected Image instead of a color and picked that file. Sample Size setting 1024 x 1024 , and played around with scale.
Came out like this. Not too shabby for a first attempt. I think with a little tweaking it could work really well for renders.
Oh, this is lovely! Definitely would go nicely with the minimal floral engraving.
Also, Windows 95 Clouds vibe ![]()
I totally agree. The color and the texture …. And, the engraving.
To me, I don’t want/wouldn’t want, the Blumi to end up in colorways that look like a Josey or a Bape or anything else somewhat nostalgia driven.
I want the New yo-yo to carry its own identity.
A yo-yo that may just become a New Legend, should stand out on its own merits: both visually and playability.
No case of mistaken identity. Whatever color or colors the yo-yos are, when the retail boxes are opened up, they don’t need to be reminiscent of any past yo-yo colorway.
When I get a few of them and somebody may see one, I don’t want that person to say, ‘hey, that looks like a…….’.
I want the person to say, ‘Hey, wow, is that a Blumi’?
Uh…. Yes it is. It was designed by a German Mastermind, and that is exactly what it is.
….A Blumi.
PS…. All those colors Dominik posted up..’do’ look excellent regardless of my personal opinion. That engraving in the cup, already kind of identifies it as a Blumi, lol
Regardless, whatever Dominik decides, is going to amazing just like every other thing he does. Count me in…..
this is a really pretty yoyo it reminds me of high school years! definitely wnat one of these when i can
The white and yellow with the flower symbol is the most aesthetically pleasing but I’m very partial towards the white and blue
