So this past week I left to go to my dads and left my a la mode at my moms. When I got back it was missing the axle, so I was wondering what size and/or type of axle the crucial a la mode takes? And where I can get one?

I wish I could be of more assistance, but a suggestion:
Get a locking case. Or find a way to lock up your stuff. Serious. I have to lock my cases up or some of my kids will destroy everything.
Take it to the hardware store and see what screw thread fits. Get a set screw of the proper size. If only a normal screw with a head is available get one long enough to cut the head off. Smooth the cut edge with a fine file.
I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen you type this but it’s been a LOT! 
That’s the bane of forums in general. Nobody looks around to see what’s been said…
