🤓 A kinda formal review: EOS by SPUTNIK

Unboxing:

Review:

The EOS is a slightly undersized (in diameter) full stainless steel yoyo.

The yoyo has a strong presence of weight but doesn’t feel like a rock tied to the string at all. It also has great maneuverability at the same time, allowing it to go fast with little effort. This implies that it’s perfect for tech tricks with zippy movements. In addition, its high stability and long spin time makes it a good candidate for not only casual play but competitions as well.

It has satisfying binds with pleasant ringing sounds and is super comfy in hand.

The string that comes with the yoyo feels nice but I’m no expert for strings.

I like this yoyo.
Thanks, @Burchard

Have you by any chance tried the Apathy and could you compare it if so? I had one of those and it was almost good for me, but just slightly off. This seems very similar so I’m wondering if it would hit the mark more.

I have tried the Apathy before, but it was long ago, so I can’t remember the details. But I can confidently say that these two feel very similar. Good news is, an Apathy has been on the way to me (for almost a month), I’ll let you know when I get it

how is this bearing seat?

i love mount - very great yoyo from mrburchard it is very amazing feeling. you can tell he have good knowledge of what make a yoyo nice to use (you can tell by what he collect ;p)

but the bearing seat and how much grinding destruction happen from unscrewing mount make me really sad because the yoyo was so good. the one I use felt I was doing permanent damage first time I take apart, and it does have a bit of vibes now from how much material was sheared off.
this may be because this mount was raw, perhaps anodize would make the metal post stronger slightly, I am unsure

how is seat on this SS? i really like how it looks and what you say, and burchard knows how to make good yoyos. i have interest in getting this thank you for your review and the good photographs yogurt

Thanks Kaede!

Unfortunately I had the exact same issue with my Mount. Just tried to unscrew the EOS (you owe me :face_with_steam_from_nose:), it was pretty tight, but luckily didn’t cause any extra vibe, yaaaay

The EOS is slightly larger in diameter and width than the Apathy. It also has more stability and feels more hallow. On the other hand, the apathy feels more solid and can go faster. Both are great, it just depends on your personal preferences

I had that same feeling with the apathy. I wanted to like it but something was off about it.

I feel like the EOS is more normal compared to it.

The EOS also feels better in the hand and has much smoother machining marks

Yeah, this yoyo seems very similar to the Apathy. That was the first yoyo that came up to my mind

Sounds interesting! Hopefull I’ll have a chance to try one out someday.
