I would really like to receive something from c3 or Duncan. Oh oh I really want a dark magic 2! Don’t know why but i do. A Duncan or a c3 with a dm2 but I’m just pumped for what I’m giving. I’m expecting them to faint or cry in joy or somethin lol

I must say, there are some pretty specific high dollar wants here. To be honest, I had already decided what I was going to give before I signed up. I feel kinda bad because I don’t think my person will like what I’m giving. Kinda wish I hadn’t jumped on this train:/
Don’t feel that way. When they post wants they are hoping that they have there said yoyo lying around and not used. Its not that they will not take anything else!
I put a lot of time thought and creativity into my package. I hope he enjoys it.

^This. It ruins the entire point of this whole thing. Things like “I’m shipping huge, so I expect the person shipping to me to do the same!” or “I’d like a Dazzler, Draupnir, Krown, Sleipnir or Anglam” puts undue pressure on those that may not have as extensive a collection as others.
Just give the kind of package you’d want to receive, and then be happy with what you get. I’d be far more happy seeing someone getting excited over the package I sent than I would by getting a great package myself.
I traded a mint Chief for a slightly dinged 7075 Supernova once (I was hunting for a Yuji Edition), and since the guy seemed really decent I threw tonnes of free stuff in there for him just for the sake of it, along with a little note and everything thanking him for the trade. I got a PM from the guy later saying that it was the best package he had ever received and thanked me tonnes. It felt great because I had made someone else happy.
I also once threw a free Arctic Circle into a trade because I didn’t really use it, and the guy was over the moon. People here are too hung up on getting stuff and not eager enough to give.
A lot of people reading this right now are probably thinking “A Chief for a Supernova? A free Arctic Circle!? Are you mad!?”… and therein lies the problem.

Yeah, I didn’t want to say anything since I’m not even participating (really wanted to but was afraid shipping time would be right when I left for vacation this week and it is) but I’ll say that my gift was going to be exactly a MIP rare FHZ of some sort and a mint metal that retailed for >$100 along with a bunch of strings and stickers and stuff and with how people are posting I feel like they would be disappointed to receive those things whereas I wouldn’t have expected to have gotten nearly that much myself.
At any rate, I don’t wanna be a party pooper whether I’m participating or not cuz I think the Secret Santa is really cool. I hope everyone enjoys what they get and appreciates the effort their Santa put into it!

I participated in it on one forum and all I got was a box but that didn’t stop me from trying the next year and I got a PSG then. I’m still participating this year because it’s more fun to give. I know one of those years I gave out an entheos and for the other it was a flying v and enyo big ben. It’s about what you can give and not what you can get.

I gave my person some extra yoyo because I was thinking, give what you would like to get. I would not “really” want that “one” yoyo. So i added some goodies, some spare stuff around the house, and a extra throw.
I didn’t give much. But I am not expecting much.
