I was 4 when I started my own company. It was called “Lemonade Stand”. Just saying lol.
I took a week long break from the forums and I noticed this thread.
I’m honestly disgusted that someone would publicly call out and chastise another member for a gift that was perfectly acceptable in both the rules of the exchange and in my eyes. You shouldn’t enter a Secret Santa with a $35 limit and expect a 70+ throw.
I might just be beating a dead horse here sorry if I am.

I go into these things expecting nothing, and I really think thats how people should do it. I have NO expectations of a great metal, or anything really. I do it so that I can give a gift to someone in the community that I have probably never met, and make their day. It makes me happy to do so. I have enough yoyos that I can make it happen and not have to give up my favorite yoyo or my prize possession. If you are worried about doing that, then maybe you should hold off doing it. If everyone went in with that intent then no one would be disappointed. If you are going in it to try and “trade up” just buy something off the bst or do a trade.

The requirement is $35, not $70… But im sorry, christmas is the time of receiving, and it sucks you didnt get $150 worth of stuff…

I decided to read this thread out of boredom, and it seems that this thread is a perfect example of how selfishness and greed can ruin what could have been a great experience. There are people posting specific wish lists, people that are complaining about “inadequate” presents, and also 5 people still havent gotten their presents! I don’t mean to point any fingers, but some of you guys should be ashamed of yourselves! The point of this is giving, not nitpicking what you intend to receive or scamming each other!

The only part of the expectation should be that everyone will hold up their end of the deal and meet at least the minimum requirements anything above is just gravy On the biscuits. I do agree with you on everything else!
