The very first 2016 UYYC contest in Kansas City featured a very successful Kendama Ladder event. In 2017 Chad Covington who heads SOL came to St. Louis for our 2nd contest and has been a sponsor ever since the beginning years of UYYC. A special thanks to UYYC graphic designer Jacob Lundak for completing a tribute poster to all the sponsors this year! Not only did we feature every sponsor on the poster but the horseman statue is a symbol of St. Louis. Known as Apotheosis of St. Louis, it is a statue of King Louis IX of France, namesake of St. Louis, Missouri, and located in front of the Saint Louis Art Museum in Forest Park.
Speaking of Forest Park, just over the weekend St. Louis had a destructive tornado. Our hearts and prayers go out to the individuals, families, and businesses affected by the St. Louis Tornado. This year’s venue and Forest Park was actually in the storms path but will reopen to the public shortly. Only 19 days out from the contest and UYYC and the venue is looking forward to hosting a world class event here in St. Louis.

St. Louis based machinist and yoyo designer Russ Andert is unlocking from the vault a titanium dert for this year’s raffle!
The OG dert was first designed and machined by the legendary Russ Andert all the way back from 2007!
The “derti” is a titanium version of his dert Yoyo which was produced by RSO as a tribute to one of the most iconic throws from the early 2000’s.

The 2nd UYYC Posters just delivered!! This is a smaller 11 x 17 competition themed poster featuring all of our sponsors and updated to reflect all of the judges and a new UYYC logo!
The artwork features the Apotheosis statue in front of the St. Louis Art Museum. We designed these so we could offer a smaller souvenir sized poster that also served as a tribute to this year’s sponsors.
The jumbo 1904 posters which were designed as more of an art piece to be framed will be priced at $30.
The 11x17 Apotheosis posters are priced at $10 and is an easier
hand carry. Both of these look stunning and we are very grateful to Jacob Lundak for coming on board this year!
