Wowwww now I really want one since I sold my other mustangs, any idea where I can find one online? They’re all sold out
Turbo Confusion for me
Horizon 2 got me back into yoyoing because I loved the first so much. Most of the year was figuring out what I like, so there was a lot of experimenting. Netrunner was the only other release I was excited for.
Favorites- DS-61, Area 51

That’s easy the Jigun Okigokko3 and Bi Polar. Unavailable in the US as far as I know.
LEP ships to the US, its just very pricey to ship ![]()
Not really, Jigun don’t say it publicly but as a preferred customer ordering diirectly they really take care of the shipping for orders over $90. They also will add in extra goodies and unexpected surprises. Also, most of the LEP/Jigun line up is high-end at reasonable pricing.
AL7 Herdsman, Jackpot, Titanium Pelican 2.
Hmm
I might just bite the bullet on getting some stuff from them then. I’ve had me my eye out for a bit but was always hesitant
Although there are more releases coming in 2026 for 60 mm wide. This size isn’t for everyone. I haven’t gone passed 52mm. For me, I pay attention to the catch zone gap being in the sweet spot 4.5 to 4.6mm.
id like to ask for thoughts in akita 2025 and enigmatica please
I know you didn’t ask me but as someone with 2 Akita 2025s and an original I can throw my two cents in.
The yoyo itself plays as a medium weight, matches what you normally expect of a 66 gram yoyo. It can play quick and stop pretty fast but requires some effort to get it really moving. It’s got that satisfying clyw string hit feel and helps with control in tech.
The width is a nice middle ground (at least for me).
Easy to hit some big whips and slacks but doesn’t get in the way of most tech tricks.
It’s got this really… dense feel to it but not like titanium or high density materials. Definitely because of the large wall width due to the 6061. Plays really chunky compared to its weight in a material sense.
Finger grinds are great and the fully blasted ss rims are a nice touch that aren’t on a lot of yoyos. Can barely feel the difference in texture between the rims and the yoyo.
If you’ve got any other questions just hmu
@Maelstrom I’m a fan of the OG Akita, that’s one of my favs and I’m kinda worried I won’t like the new one as much - could you compare them feeling-wise?
Honestly, I don’t like the 2025 as much as the original, the original feels a lot more maneuverable.
The 2025 beats it in stability and spin time for sure but it really lost that original Akita feeling. 2025 feels fatter and just more chunky in weight and feeling, not necessarily heavier but just… More.
I can’t recommend one new but if you find one on the bst for $80 or so give it a go.
It just feels like someone took all the CLYW fun out of an Akita and optimised it for a comp (not exactly always a good thing).
If I needed to hit my tricks, I’d do the 2025, if I’m looking for a fun casual yoyoing experience with a classic, absolutely the original.
What did you exactly like about the original and I’ll try my best to let you know how it feels on the 2025?
I think I just got the sad answer I kinda deduced from the shape on photos. I always liked how chill this throw is and how it gets the perks of being bimetal without it’s clunkiness. I think the mix of float and hidden weight in the rims was a perfect match for me (this is why I also love the Dreamer and Stormberry).
So yeah, having 3 OG ones I suppose I’m getting another 2 of them instead of a new one. Thanks for a good insight!
Akita 2025 is a much more competition-oriented update to the og Akita. I personally like it more but if you’re looking for a chill clyw-style throw it won’t be your thing. I will say it is very stable, like absurdly so, and offers good power. It does all the things very well and looks good doing it. I just wish clyw didn’t use 21mm pads. Forces the walls of the yoyo to be higher when comp yoyos don’t like that sorta thing.
Enigmatica is just… something special. It reminds me vaguely of the YYR Tone in terms of being suited for tech. Great power and maneuverability. C3 doesn’t miss on their releases and this is still the case with this yoyo. Still a smidgen narrow for comp now but useable for both oldheads and newheads alike.
woa woa woa, let’s don’t start talkin crazy here now…21mm binds and roll outs are delicious! ![]()
21mm pads suck and anyone who likes them is guilty of suspect yoyo taste (partly joking)
I see. Looking at ur fav yoyos made me interested to ask u whats your most “comp oriented” 1a yoyo? good for zontals, speed, and other comp tricks? if you’d recommend as im looking for one hahah.
