2015 YoYoFactory MYSTERY Box - *SPOILER ALERT* - Official Thread

That was not easy for me, but it was so much fun trying to get one. I was stressed out to the max.

So, here’s the deal. I was hoping to get one of each box, A, B and X. So, my strategy was that I didn’t want to spend too much time adding boxes to my cart one at a time. So, instead, I decided to go for two boxes, one + X, and then go back for the other box if there were still some left, or during another drop. So, there I was all logged into my account and ready. I refreshed my browser and there was the oasis of two box options. I was surprised to see this, because I thought A, B, A+X, B+X, would all appear at the same time. I thought, “Oh no, I have to add X to my cart from a separate page!” I was super stressed out then. So, what I did next was decided to go with Box A this time, and then I added X. Everything was slow, but not too crazy, which was too good to be true. I had everything in my cart and ready to pay via Paypal when this popped up:

I was trippin’ >:(, because I don’t play when it comes to my YoFact’ry stuff. So, I took that photo, but decided not to give up. I refreshed the page a few times, but it didn’t do me any good, it looked the exact same. So, I took a photo of it. Then, I closed that window and started all over again. I didn’t think there was any hope, but I could see some still in stock. I added the boxes and went through the process again, and it went through. When I was done, I tried to go back and get the remaining box, but I forgot YYE site does not allow you to place another order in under 10 minutes, to prevent duplicate orders. So, that error popped up stating that I had to wait ten minutes, and I knew that was it for this go 'round. My strategy had a few kinks in it, but overall I’m happy just to get the X box. I may go back and get the remaining box during another drop, but realize that if I don’t, I’m all set now.

That’s my story of success with getting A+X = ;D

From a cyberspace standpoint, nothing will ever top getting a YYE confirmation e-mail.

From a tangible standpoint, nothing will ever top opening and playing new “mysterious” yo-yo’s.

Interesting, I hadn’t looked at my A2 when looking for other YYFs that look like the video but that’s a good thought.

I don’t want to make this confusing so the easy answer is YES.

However technically, they are random, within their type.

There will be color variances and some yoyo variances within each type of box, but A boxes are still A Boxes and B boxes are still B Boxes and no A yoyo are in B boxes and vice versa.

So the yoyo’s in the b box different releases will be the same yoyo’s but could have different colorways…is that right?

There are fewer box B available, so they sold out a little faster.
The boxes will be the same throughout the 4 releases.

That means that Box B has better drops or something special?

All I know, is that if I needed A or B to get to X, X has to be the best of them all. A or B was a toss up for me, so I just needed either one to get the X box. But, now that I have an X box, I might as well have fun trying to get the remaining box.

Box B and Box A do not have and duplicate yo-yos. There may be some yo-yo variation within the boxes, but mostly just color variation.

Got to looking at the Mystery “X” yoyo teaser more, starting to look similar to an Aviator 2 (which is a great thing), in bimetal form. The Aviator 2 is one of my favorite YYF high end throws.

well I am a little scared as I didn’t get an email like everyone else did. But if I look at my account it shows that I ordered Box A and Product X. and this is the first time I have ever ordered a mystery box from YYE, as I’m going up to my 10 months of yo-yoing and being on this forum. and seeing how everyone else has received an email. It almost makes me scared and sad that I didn’t receive one… I have the order # and it even shows up in my account history. But why no email?

I also noticed with my checking out I didn’t receive any trading card packs… Whats up with that?

The site crashed on me but I managed to snag an A box! I’ll try and get a B box later, but I think I’ll pass on the X box. The yoyo looks as if it’s a plastic/metal hybrid and I don’t like those yoyos. I’m probably wrong but I’ll take my chances with the two boxes.

I don’t know if it’s true about the Aviator 2 thing, but if it is, this will be the best mystery box to date. Hmmm… Imagine this, in bimetal form.
