This is how I took the boomers club - it’s not how all are taking it. Best part about this is we do not care how you think of it overall. If You want in, you’re in. This is about love of the hobby.
Most of us are going to be out of school, and experienced the 1999ish boom back in the day. Had yo-yo assembly’s and mall kiosks.
Now that leads us to appreciate our sold school roots. We enjoy the modern responsive and “old school” organic more than most that missed the boom.
At this point we don’t love the TikTok trends. We aren’t buying yo-yos because our favorite player did dna and god speed with it. We appreciate the skill but you won’t see most of us doing that. We grew up in both that we didn’t have cell phones and Internet. We grew into that.
We like to collect things. Trading card games were the best. Sports cards had to be looked up in a magazine to see the value.
We appreciate “nicer” things. We appreciate the extra attention to details and the process. But you better believe we love a deal.
This is not all encompassing - this is just what stuck with me. I bet many felt the same.
Call us a boomer. We don’t care. If you heard what I was called over Xbox live you would know why.

Absolutely. Never pay full price. A sale or a deal could always be right around the corner! Except with yoyos. I’m weak for them.

I mean, yea…you can walk the dog in skinny jeans. But, how about Dog Bite? Much easier if you got a hi-wall responsive and JNCO’s.

You know… I have looked at that, not sure how I feel about the cork though. Maybe that’ll be my next purchase. Interested to see what @G2_Jake comes up with here.

I am a fan of the Turbo Grind Machine. I have been playing with one, off and on for about two months.
The cork is definitely interesting. Not sure what the life span of the pads are, but it is fun and different.
The size, shape and weight are right up my alley.
If you get a chance to try one, do it.
