Yoyo Appraisal Thread III

Thank you sir :folded_hands:

I see one quick sale for $125. Am I missing something?

Brand new Abels are $70, and I got a full set of ADL MoNos for $50 a piece…

I think $75 for a Mono is fair.

I thought I got a good deal for the bundle. Just pointing out that $120 seems a bit high.

Seems pretty reasonable.

I feel like 180 is reasonably high for both of these?

There aren’t any non-nickel plated MarkMont Projects. For mint I’d say maybe 350?

No way. 250 is high for a nickel MMN.

200 might be a bit much for a mint splash, otherwise even 150 is high for a mint solid.

I will never not be impressed by your familiarity with the one drop line.

Wow this is an awesome collection!

I can only speak to the CLYW’s and One Drops, but I think you are pretty close. Some could be higher, some probably lower. Condition and boxes will matter for collectors. Ultimately it depends on how many motivated buyers there are at the time you list. If you are ever selling, let me know!

The price may be fluctuating, since its difficult to determine the actual value of a yoyo, as their are not enough prior sales to find a median price.

That’s a beauty wooly I had one same color way and it’s worth 400 now?!

Any idea what this 60’s yoyo is worth? It’s in pretty good condition. Despite the age.

I usually see these for around $5-15.

Sticker appraisal? I have 2 extra of these old clyw stickers that I got at some contest in '09-'10. Does anyone remember who the artist might be? I want to think it was Jensen, but I dont know.

Bonus question, does anyone know if there was a name for this BvM colorway besides “clear with gray splash and red speckle?”

I think you’re right that the artist was Jensen. The colourway is called Robot Vs Ninja Moose. They did a competition where people could suggest names, and that was the winner :slightly_smiling_face:

There is a weekly flea market where I live, and I’m always looking for yo-yos on the tables full of junk. I have found a few there over the years. Previously my best find was a $1 Playmaxx Turbo Bumble Bee. Yesterday I think I beat that with a $4 Duncan Litening…

I know these valuations are kind of all over the place but here is a snippet from the Museum of Yo-Yo History:

Any thoughts on what a Lightning in this condition may actually be worth? I don’t plan on selling it, just curious. It will be displayed next to my Flores.

What have you found at the flea market?

Killer find dude! Never been THAT lucky… But found a pink jeweled Cheerio. I think I gave 4 bucks for it. Ended up giving it to a buddy, and haven’t found another Cheerio that played as well as that one since…

Still hoping to find a Cheerio! A lot of people just look right past these old yo-yos, but they are still so much fun to mess with. I have a few old Imperials that play noticeably better than others.

That is quite a find. I day dream about such finds. Congratulations!
