I 100% agree with you, but I think you also underestimate how many yoyoers have like NO money lmfao, so that matters way more to them
The amount of people I’d talk to at contests who were like “I just spent the last hundred in my bank account on X or Y yoyo” was frankly kind of shocking 
and the overdraft fees….
I’m telling you that it’s quite a bit more than that when the two parties don’t use the same currency…

It’s still less than the shipping cost, and I’m pretty sure I said when a seller included conus so I wasn’t really talking about sales from across the pond
There’s no such thing as the “best” yoyo, but I can think of eleven different examples of the “worst” yoyo.
I used to be relatively good with money until I got back into yoyo-ing, can confirm. 
Not really related and Its changed several times and I think its back to being beyond the $600 threshold, but in the high end edc space we use friends/family for paypal’s tax thing. There’s a way better vetting system than yoyo though. At least thats why I ask the buyer to paythe fees if they use goods. Im okay losing a sale over 3 bucks if it means I dont have to go through my PayPal tax paper work for the past year lol.
Yes but agreed, not really related or relevant to my post. Hopefully anyone spending that kind of money on yoyo knows who they are buying from. Not to mention that anyone spending that kind of money on yoyo isn’t spending their last $20. The point really was that if you are selling a yoyo for $50 and you are including shipping but also saying or best offer, why would you then ask for an additional $1.50 to make the sale safer instead of just including it when you are already saying that you are open to selling it for less than what you originally listed it at. This happens everyday here. Some are trying to blow this out of proportion and I get it that there are extreme cases but that wasn’t the point of my original post.
I get why a seller wouldn’t want to do G&S, I don’t get why a seller would ask a buyer off the cuff to go with G&S and ask them to pay for it. So I agree with your take. If the seller wants to do G&S with the buyer paying, it’s more professional to say it up front in the FS post.
Ultimately I feel like the buyer should have the final say when it comes to choosing F&F or G&S as it’s their money they’re spending; a consensus between buyer and seller on the payment method is of course ideal and I haven’t had anyone object to me using G&S for purchase.
No me either. Every seller has been ok with it when I have said I would prefer to use it.
But if a seller says no when I say I’m going with g&s then I won’t buy from them. So any seller who says no is questionable anyway
If the FS post says F&F preferred then I’ll take a closer look at their history on the forum… but yeah I’ve never done F&F on here either, lol

Well I gave you a reason for why it could occur in a sale. Although I guess people need to include in their posts, “buyer pays GS fees” then this wouldn’t be a thing

Personally, I price all my throws as low as I can stand letting them go for. If I included nonyoyo things in the yoyo price, that means if someone chooses to pay ff, I’m taking more from them than I need.
If they buy multiple yoyos, why would I include shipping in the price of each one? Shipping costs about the same for a small box regardless if 1 or 3 yos are inside.
Transparency is king.
