The white oak Harbingers are my favourite and they’re an all-round good performer for modern fixed axle tricks.
This one weighs in at 56g. All white oak construction.

What kind of finish is on these? Could I get one with a hard lacquer clear coat on the outside, but the inside where the string would touch and wind up, unfinished? Happy to pay extra for extra finishing steps.
It’s a kind of food safe finish made from citrus and tung oil. It gives some protection but retains the natural look.
I can make you a Harbinger with a hard CA finish on the outside. It’s really durable and comes up ultra shiny. It also happens to be a bit of a pain in the rear-endismaximus to get perfect. I can do it, but it will cost significantly more.
No worries, PM me a quote and let’s make it happen
