Slim will be fine since all C3’s use a very broad response pad that grips really well.

Hmm … do you own Berserker RX ?
I think most of the newer C3 stuff uses the YYF slim sized pads stock now. That said, slim strings will still be fine but it really depends on personal preference and what sort of tricks you like to do. If you’re going to be doing tech stuff where you’re dumping a heap of string layers into the gap, then slim is definitely the way to go.

I do. I also own the original Berserker. What would you like to know?

Hmm … is Berserker RX able to do finger spin ?
Possible but quite difficult because the surface isn’t the best for grinds and the flat area of the face is quite large which makes controlling the finger spin tricky. If you’re into finger spins, the Mo-Vitation would probably be a better option (haven’t played one so can’t really tell you if it’s good for other stuff).

I own a Capless and DiBase2. Both are wonderful yoyos. Gorgeous, cheap, and high performance.
by “new” do u mean to yoyoing in general or to C3YYD ? well either or, if you’re just starting yoyoing and want to jump right ahead to unresponsive play well! The Capless by C3 never fails to satisfy any need! Of course Di-Base 2 is also worthy of a chance
I can tell you a lot more about other brands! maybe also give you more suggestions, you can PM if you need anything, I’d be glad to help a felow thrower!
He knows what he’s talking about
di base 2 and capless are amazing!
