Seems to be we have quite a bit. I’m going to go with the Speedaholic XX and still* The Shooting Star because it really has stood the test of time for me. The plastic Fulvia and Ace Gravitation are runners up for me. What do you guys think?
Note: Yoyo doesn’t have to be from 2026 if you think it is better or just tell me what your* best plastic is I always want to hear what you guys feel.
Out of all the plastics I’ve tried, I’ve got to hand it to the Petrichor for its performance and capability. It spins plenty for most combos, is fairly comfortable in the hand, and has enough stability for dense tricks and horizontal
In the fixie world, for 0A, it’s still the old fixed axle Duncan Wheel or an @Ardeus print for me
For moons and loops, the @StoneRoxalot Manamana and Not the Manamana
Edit: As far as hand feel and looks, call me biased but the Everyday Caramel. The others above top it in performance but the Caramel still hits all the right notes and has looks to kill
Yeah, while I understand why many feel the Shooting Star is great, it lacks power compared to almost any other machined plastic. The only thing it has that no other machined plastic has is having responsive hardware included to actually benefit from being compatible with it. From the perspective of a new player, It’s not that appealing to have to go out of your way to purchase extra hardware for your yoyo, whether responsive or unresponsive, when you can get one that has both included while maintaining a competitive price at $30-35 bucks. Performative? Not very. Approachable? Absolutely
