I have the same splash and a bright neon string too! Heads up I have 5 of these and two had slippy white pads out of the box (I find this to be common with white pads across manufacturers though), so if you find it slippy just toss those pads and drop in your preferred and it’ll play nice. 
Ummm, I will admit to having two of them. Why? I do not know!

Having multiples definitely works out for a long throw session. I’ll lay them out on my dresser and when I get a knot or the bearing dies I switch without interruption

I can definitely feel the extra weight of it. I think I need to shorten the string. I put on a ZipLine nylon blend string and it appears to have stretched a bit long.

That will give you a fine efge for sure.
No 600? That’s a big leap from 400 to 1000.
I know the other differences between them are greater, but it doesn’t matter so much when the grit is super fine.

I’ve got a pair of diamond rods that go from 600 to 700 then back to the stones at 1000.
