I found this retro butterfly on eBay a while back, it plays great! Much better than the modern ones.

What are the differences that you can see / feel?

It’s a bit wider, feels a tiny bit heavier, has more spin time, over all just feels more robust and nicer in the hand.
It still plays like a butterfly though so If you don’t like the newer ones, this one probably won’t win you over.

I guess Duncan is just trying to keep the Butterfly at $3.00. It’s been $3.00 since at least 2015 at the Walmart near me.

Got this death robot today and I can’t even start describing how this plays. Nothing else I’ve tried is like this. I’m not sure if it’s because of the weight distribution or the mg but this thing is strange (in a good way).

Finally!! This thing play very different from what I expected, I thought it would play heavy and stable however it plays floaty and super fast. Definitely worth the $127.

I really like the weight and the response, although this one has enough wood vibe that pull starts are challenging. I’d say the wood vibe is equal to my 2019 Spectra Eh. Also, I was well aware of the vibe on this one before purchasing 
I feel like my maple feels KNack is about the same weight with equally consistent and predictable response, but totally smooth.

I also love the merbau Button. I had previously got a zebrawood one, and those response holes really make the design work well at both weights.

As most of you already know, the yoyo community has rallied to show support for John Higby, whose livelihood had already been severely impacted by covid, and who recently suffered some bad luck. One of the members of this forum who rose to the occasion is @bobafret , who sold me a TiShee at a very nice price. He sent all of the funds from the sale to John, and showed me proof of this, with my name attached to the gift so that I could share in the credit. I was already thinking to myself that this Bobafret guy must be one heck of a good human being, and then today I received this package.
Not only did I receive a Tishee, but also a wooden yoyo with John Higby art that Boba hand painted himself. In addition, there was all of the other accessories and swag you see here. Also, I got this beautiful 1to1 from @nonja121, just two weeks after posting how much I love this colorway. Definitely an interesting, fun yoyo; I’m really enjoying it. It’s clearly wider than its diameter. I’ll have to measure for myself…
