Haven’t had a chance to really throw these yet, but looking forward to it. A couple more unique additions to my collection. Never has a hubstack yoyo before, and the Phidias is, well, distinct.
Me too, that’s why I like your stuff Mate.
I’ve been having a lot of fun lately with my skyline. Definitely something I keep picking back up just because it’s so much fun, not because it’s an amazing performer per se. Really dig the half-swap skyline you have, getting some old school cold fusion gold/black vibes, ha! Also, the phidias looks super interesting. Curious to hear how it plays.
Have heard a lot of “it’s fun” type stuff about the Skyline, and that’s what persuaded me to pick one up. Props to @YoYoProMatt28 for offering the half-swap that convinced me to take the plunge.
As for the Phidias, the first few throws as I tested it for a proper string left a good impression. I looked at it really closely (albeit not in direct sunlight) and I can’t see the ano flaws that made it available at a discount. Everything I have read about the yoyo so far has been glowing, and that’s part of what led me to snag one.
I love the MVP, also shout out to @ChrisFrancz for such a nice gesture!
Mjolnir is sorcery on a string. Absolutely magical @Palli . How does one describe something that feels like both a hammer and a feather at the same time . I won’t even try. I was supposed to wait to open it on Friday when I make my final mortgage payment but that plan lasted a whole 3.7 seconds after I found the FedEx box at the garage. Really really impressed.
If you play it long enough the bearing breaks in and it goes from responsive to semi-responsive then gradually unresponsive.
you can afored one of those
i ment titanium humming bird
Stoked that people are getting theirs! I think I nailed it on those yoyos.
Lots of people here are adults with full-time jobs that afford them disposable income they can save for large purchases like that.
Yeah. It requires some attention to keep it responsive. I have another one that I put n a half spec in. It’s easier to maintain and I wanted to make the gap a little more narrow for snappier STM’s.
Gonna play it resonsive, till it starts being too needy, then I’ll put in a KK.
Got a couple of Duncans today. I see a lot of boutique yo-yo’s but these two coming from a large well established company are made and play really well.
Orbital GTX and Haymaker X
Yep, it’s well worth it. You should see the rest of em.
This thing got me hooked by the first toss. My immediate first impression is how laid back it can be considering it’s specs. Not to take away from the performance, because it has tons. It just has a chill factor that I don’t seem to find in a yoyos that looks like this. Also purple. The purple is great. Great job guys.
Thank you, this all means a lot. Especially my color choice!
This string is unreal. A little thicker than I generally like but it just seems to never wear out!
