So long story long, I joined in on the recent F.I.X.I.E. competition (the virtual online one) hosted by @adamantiumpops. I knew next to nothing about fixes, and still no clue to be honest, but I had an absolute blast hanging out with some really cool people and enjoying the general banter and camaraderie.
After the Fixie completion ended Gethin (@gcoomans) messages me saying he would love to send me some fixies if I would like to try out more 0a!
TLDR; Gethin kindly sent me these epic yoyos to try my hand at 0A!

Also my Memento isnāt delivered yet, so Gethin pipped it by making this my frist Mike Monty yoyo.

Iām just not understanding how you are touching the caps since they are pretty deep. I have several Replays and never got even a scratch on the caps.
Just picking it up off the shelf, caught it out of the air a few times screwing up at 5a, holding it by the cup and pulling the string to unwind it after feeling it snag during binds. Stuff like that.
Edit: and of course Iāll be more careful not to touch the caps now
I sent him some One Drop flat bearings because Iād never use them. It was not for a trade. I didnāt want anything in return. I have not held that issue of Daredevil since the 1980ās (it came out in the late summer of 1981). Thank you! Last fall I submitted something to Weird N.J. magazine and never figured itād be used. The new issue came in the mail today and my submission was used.
Bought this YYR Almighty a few weeks back from YYE. Very impressive stability and spin time. Probably the longest spin time in my collection tbh. Dead smooth, even on finger spins. Honestly doesnāt feel heavy in spite of the 67 gr weight.
My 10 yr old son hijacked this throw and started loving to play with unresponsive yoyos now because of this. Looks like I will have to get another one when it becomes available at YYE.
Wow I missed both those respawns and the lifeā¦error issue lol, they look pretty as hell though grats! Oh and if you get tired of the pirate respawn you can always try to do what this guy is trying to doā¦
