Chocolatey!
Great unboxing photos!
Do things typically get to you so quickly from the USA? For some reason I thought itâd take a lot longer than itâs taken for these and your Vayder.
Also, thatâs neat that you got a signature on your box! I have 5 or 6 and none of mine are signed! /jealous
Thanks Twitch and Adam!
Yeah 1 week is awesome!
I think UK â USA normally takes about one week +/- a day
Oh so not all VTWOâs are signed? I was like cool! He must have taken a long time to sign all the boxes!
Anyone know what strings are shipped with OD yoyos?
Or what string this particular VTWO is shipped with?
Wait, are you saying the date went well?
Iâm at work so only got to have two quick timid little throw (two throws because vTwo lol)
This is not what I expected at all not necessarily in a bad way, itâs just I never felt a yoyo like this before.
Maybe this is what modern competition style yoyos are like with the heavy rim weighting.
as soon as I threw the yoyo, it suddenly feels super heavy compared to in hand feel?
Like itâs a mini black hole, or a singularity if you will, as if it has its own gravitational center?
I also have a ThrowRevolution Neo on its way to me, which is a responsive delrin yoyo and I bought it with the intention to work on smoothing out my tricks and maintaining string tension throughout. This VTWO feels like it has built in string tension when I whip it round into a double or nothing, itâs as if it wants to keep moving in as large arc as possible keeping the string taut. Canât quite explain in words itâs like it somehow has more MOI (moment of inertia) than a normal yoyo.
Doesnât feel anything like any other yoyoâs I have tried before.
Canât wait to get home to give it a proper go instead of just a timid double or nothing in the corner.
My package from the US was in my local post office in the 3rd day since usps got it(Iâm from Spain)
They donât really give much info about them on their site. Not having any luck with a google search either. You can buy the strings on One Dropâs website though.
Oh jeeze
Some yos take time to adjust to. Iâm sure you know this though from when you were into the hobby in 2007âish. Hopefully itâs one of those yos that will grow on you and once youâre use to how it plays youâll start loving it.
Iâm also glad you bought yourself a new bearing for it. My Legendary Terrarian and Kuntosh 5000QV were completely transformed (in good ways!) after swapping the flat bearings out for centering bearings. They make a HUGE difference for me!
Wow! Thatâs great!!
Iâve no experience with international shippingâŚbut for some reason I thought shipping was really slow.
When I sent something to the USA(with the exact shipping method that coding horror used to send me the yoyos) it took like 2 weeks. I guess I had luck haha
Thatâs just how heavily rim weighted yo-yos feel. Iâve never thrown vTwo, but I suspect itâs not as overly rim weighted as many other yos. Youâll get used to it. Your throw will feel a bit less weird with that thick plutonium string you bought, with the extra mechanical advantage of the larger effective axle size the thicker string gives youâlike a larger rear gear on a bicycle. Wonât make any difference with the feel on the string though.
Another odd difference is that this package from yoyoexpert.com which cost $150.61 had ÂŁ4.53 customs tax applied ($6) and the Ti-Vayder which cost $153.30 (including delivery) had ÂŁ31.91 customs tax applied ($42).
Not a complain, just an observation. So your customs tax might vary maybe depending on other variables like what shipping service is used etc? not sure what the variable would be but yeah.
Ah thanks guys!
Sorry I think I may have been misleading and unclear.
I donât dislike the feeling. Also havenât really given it a good throw yet.
The point I was trying to make is that itâs a sensation that I didnât expect at all having never tried another yoyo quite like this. (I think the G&E4 Black Lily is a little like this)
Not a complaint at all, just I was stumped at how different a yoyo could feel!
Canât wait to finish work and get back home to give it a proper try!
I think you should just call in sick.
For the rest of the week!
Absolutely. You have the yo-yo fever!
Haha, I am tempted
I donât really know. As far as Iâm concerned if you happen to pay customs it is usually 21% taxes + x% depending on the product.
I didnât have to pay customs on that package since it was marked low value anyways
Iâm assuming that One Drop yoyos ship with One Drop strings on them. Not sure if they are âlong cutâ strings or not, but they are most surely One Drop strings of some kind.
Iâve thrown a lot of rim-weighted, competition-oriented yoyos over the course of the last year and a half, and the VTWO feels lighter on the string to me than nearly all of them. In fact, I donât think one can really appreciate how light and nimble it feels without playing a bunch of other similarly designed throws for comparison.
One Drop Long Cuts are a poly/nylon blend (color/white) and are very different from their stock strings.
yo that vtwo is sick, how does it play I might pick one up after new year
