What did you get in the mail for 2020/2021?

sure, but if it was stated as mint, i would expect to get it mint. i’ve PMed him already

I hope everything gets solved. But mint can mean it has no marks/flaws. I’d always ask about vibe when I’m buying a yoyo. However it is bad from the seller not saying it had vibe. Good luck!

thanks man! i know what you mean, but wouldn’t it be bad BST practices to say its mint and leave out the fact it has vibe and/or pack it in such a way? anyway, i’ve learnt my lesson for sure

IMO absolutely.
I can’t believe someone would ship outside of the country in a padded envelope. Seems to go completely against common sense. That annoys me :frowning:.

Agreed. These days, not only the outer appearance (mint, NM, scratch, etc), but the seller also need to specify the vibe, blur, visible vibe or not, noticeable vibe on the string or not, and fingernail vibe… Of course for older generation yoyos smoothnest level is not comparable to current era. But the seller should mention it. In such case, i believe the buyer will understand.

I hope you get the best solution for this one, man.

cheers man, over the past couple of hours i’ve been letting it stew and have more or less come to terms that even if there was no resolution, this scenario was an important lesson for myself

Sweet mailday! Just got a chance to snag STR, but better late than never. And also huge thanks to @TheThrowingGnome who helped me ending my 420 light quest. You’re da best!

You may also want to see if its a knock off sleipnir. Since you are from HK (same here!), you are probably aware of a site from mainland that starts with “t”. I can still see listing of knock off draupnir and sleipnir. This forum actually have a good thread on spotting fake yyr.

Just got this guy.

Have you checked if it is a knock off? Usually an A grade YYR doesnt have vibe at all, so if it is mint I would try to tune it

I am curious what you think of the Blockade now, and I’d be curious to hear what you think of it two weeks from now (assuming you play it during those two weeks). It looks like a really nice yoyo, but I’ve been seeing an awful lot of Blockades on the BST this year, and I’d love to know why.

That’s interesting. It seems like a really good yo-yo to me. I’ll keep you posted

How does it play? How would you compare it to other throws?

It plays really fast and nimble on the string. It’s absurd how stable and long spinning it is, too. It’s also insanely powerful but not too powerful.

Edit: After playing with this for about a week, I can definitely say that this thing is a little to powerful. It always has this “urge” to go faster, even when you’re going really fast. So, I’d say that the
Berserker Max is kinda like a Heavier Draupnir with a slightly different weight distribution, which isn’t bad. Overall I say that it’s definitely a good yoyo, and I will be using it a lot, but it could use a little bit of tweaking.

Pretty cool day for me. 2 Silver Plated Gradients, a Petri, and a 2015 eH.
