cheers man, over the past couple of hours i’ve been letting it stew and have more or less come to terms that even if there was no resolution, this scenario was an important lesson for myself
Sweet mailday! Just got a chance to snag STR, but better late than never. And also huge thanks to @TheThrowingGnome who helped me ending my 420 light quest. You’re da best!
You may also want to see if its a knock off sleipnir. Since you are from HK (same here!), you are probably aware of a site from mainland that starts with “t”. I can still see listing of knock off draupnir and sleipnir. This forum actually have a good thread on spotting fake yyr.
ayyy we should meet up! are you planning to go to the event hosted by Hans and Henson at their new location? unfortunately i dont have a scale which i can measure it…
I have to worry about knock-off yo-yos now?!
IS NOTHING SACRED?!?!
unfortunately knock-offs have been around for years…
Have you checked if it is a knock off? Usually an A grade YYR doesnt have vibe at all, so if it is mint I would try to tune it
I am curious what you think of the Blockade now, and I’d be curious to hear what you think of it two weeks from now (assuming you play it during those two weeks). It looks like a really nice yoyo, but I’ve been seeing an awful lot of Blockades on the BST this year, and I’d love to know why.
That’s interesting. It seems like a really good yo-yo to me. I’ll keep you posted
How does it play? How would you compare it to other throws?
It plays really fast and nimble on the string. It’s absurd how stable and long spinning it is, too. It’s also insanely powerful but not too powerful.
Edit: After playing with this for about a week, I can definitely say that this thing is a little to powerful. It always has this “urge” to go faster, even when you’re going really fast. So, I’d say that the
Berserker Max is kinda like a Heavier Draupnir with a slightly different weight distribution, which isn’t bad. Overall I say that it’s definitely a good yoyo, and I will be using it a lot, but it could use a little bit of tweaking.
Got to expand two of my favorite collections this week (the first collection I thought would stay as just a pair forever)
Mecha bapezilla
TiBowl
Bowl mini
Blockades boring, nothing about it really stands out as unique or excellent imo
I’m a big fan of the Blockade. Though, I do agree with @andy569 to some extent. It’s a fantastic, high performing throw but it does seem to lack a"that special something". Considering for how much I’ve seen em sell for I would say give it a try - seems low risk to me.
