Round nut?? They both look like the standard captured hex nuts to me? Am I missing something?

If you look at the flat surface on the top of the nut you can see how it’s perfectly round with no corners. Some M1s came with hex nuts, which always looked so wrong to me, but a Project should have a hex nut really.

I feel like if you zoom in, you can see the points of the hex in the indentations. The M1 doesn’t have the indentations so it looks more obvious:

My AL7 Life is a very special throw to me.
It was my first G2, before I really knew anything about them (got it on a whim for what I consider a steal on that popular auction site), and I fell in love. I’ve always liked the feel of a good organic (and AL7, for that matter) and this thing had all that comfort/style and played like a dream. Because I liked it so much, and it’s name, it was the sole throw I chose to pack when we went to the hospital for the birth of my first, and only, child (we ended up having to stay for multiple days, so it definitely got some use). Because of this (and my yoyo addiction) I’ve been wanting to add an AL6 version to my collection, but the popular and discontinued model has proven elusive.

The hex points are bevelled down but still present.

I think I’m set for a bit… Just received the raffle prizes from the St. Jude fundraiser that @Cmchappell97 was kind enough to organize. Starting with the top middle, we’ve got a One Drop Deepest State, a @Cdl12b Calibarn prototype, a Recess Hyper Nova, a MK-1 Ring Bearer, a Recess Firecracker, and a ILYY Knapfen in the middle. All feel amazing and unlike anything else in my small but quickly growing collection.
