What did you get in the mail, 2026?

Makes sense to me!

The DownBeat is an awesome that you don’t hear much about (I think it’s like 10 years old, so that probably has something to do with it). A really fun, laid back throw.
The color on that Benchmark is gorgeous!
Side effects on both look great.

Very nice mail day :+1:

Not a mail day, but an in person delivery.

I’m sure some of yall remember the story of my Tide and Ti Respawn being given to a family at the Akshardham temple in Delhi, India. That story now has the happiest ending imaginable.

The staff at the temple got in contact with that family, who mailed the yoyos from Germany back to the temple. The temple then mailed the yoyos back to my colleague in India who kept them until this trade show where we would meet in person.

Last night when he arrived to Barcelona, he called me and hand delivered a small package to me. Inside was my Tide, my Ti Respawn, and my original black G2 yoyo holster. All of them were in the exact same condition as when I left them with the security at the Temple.

I am overcome with gratitude, surprise, happiness and overall dumb-foundedness at how this all turned out.

Thank you Temple Staff, thank you random german family, thank you Karan and thank you universe for getting these back to me.

I must have only posted the story in the G2 discord lol.

Last year I was on a business trip in India. On the last day we visited the Akshardham temple in Delhi, which has a huge installation of our loudspeakers. When you go to the temple, they dont let you take anything with you (phones, purses, bags, etc) as it is an incredibly holy site.

We were on a special tour with the monks in charge of the AV there, and left my stuff with the a security guard but kept my Tide on my holster and Tin Respawn in my pocket. I had no intention of playing them, but didnt want to leave them because they’re very sentimental yoyos to me. They had gone with me to 8 different countries and all over the US.

I ended up having to go back and drop off the yoyos with security for the tour. As I was doing so, a random family was at security at the same time.

At the end of the day, I go back to security to get my stuff and a different guard was there. I get my bag with my phone, etc but no yoyos. They called the guard who was there when I dropped off my stuff and they said “they gave the yoyos to the family I was with”.

The staff at the temple felt horrible and promised they’d try and get them back but I thought Tide and Respawn gone forever lol, and here we are more than a year later and they’re back safe and sound.

Wow so lucky to get it back. That Tide is IMO as good or better than the holy grail. One of my very top best favorite overall for sure.

Thank you, I love this Orange! The only side effect is when I switch back to a normal sized yo-yo it feels like a mini!

Double mail day today! My Council came in (my second G2) and I can easily say that the Council is probably my favourite throw I own  next to being gorgeous, it really plays nice in my hands so far! I really can’t wait till I’m off work later today so I can really get used to it and put it through it’s paces

Also short story time, it’s abysmal and expensive to ship string to Canada, I got some kitty normal up here finally and realized I needed a fat string instead (boo money wasted), but then @Ironwindow who I’ve been chatting with and spamming daily questions to (sorry cliff :joy:) about the hobby, offered to send me some to try out instead! Folks this man sent me an entire bag of fat OT string! I thought he was going to send me like 10 strings in a bag :sob: There is no way the shipping wasn’t more expensive than the strings themselves, the passion within this community has definitely created a lifelong hobbiest in me :fire:
