I would say pretty different! The Quintessence feels slightly lighter and more floaty. The Quaint feels fast and powerful with the D bearing in it. I think after having them for a while I prefer the Quaint just a little bit more than the Quintessence but really love both.

This is now probably the coolest thing in my yo-yo collection that isn’t a yo-yo. Watched through it last night. Glasseye Experiment No. 004 is one of my favorite @DocPop videos and I am so stoked to have it on tape.

Neat!!! I wonder what it looks like on an old tv. Could look rad. Probably the same file Glasseye exported for web, but then blown up for vhs, then sort of smoothed back out by analog monitors. Cool find!

I wish my CRT was up and running right now! I watched it on my regular ol’ modern TV last night and it looks pretty good, but is cropped weird because of the screen size. I’m bringing this whole stack and the rest of my yo-yo tapes and dvds to the next few Portland jams so we can watch them on the big projector screen at the venue.
