What did you get in the mail, 2026?

I’m really liking it so far. It feels a little chunky in the hand but not necessarily in a bad way; it’s still very comfy and somehow feels less wide, yet larger diameter than you would expect on paper if that makes any sense lol. Play wise it has some density and heft that gives solid string feedback, but you can still get it moving real quick no problem and it changes direction on a dime. Definitely doesn’t lack power or stability either!

Could you compare them?

Sure!

I got the p3ak for two reasons: one, its a p3ak  two, I thought it could be a successor similar to how the Peak was “succeeded” by the Peak 2. Ok, and three, I wanted a buddy for my OG, because the WM1 is a favorite of mine.

The Peak and WM1 both have a high wall, and you can see how both the Peak 2 and p3ak differ from the OG’s. I was curious if it would be a difference of play similar to how the OG Peak and WM1 feel.

It was not similar at all. The p3ak is very different in the guts from the Peak 2, with the schmoove rings and general catch zone characteristic of the Zeroes (and from what I’ve seen, the Mono) from AtDesignLab. It is its own entity in the Peak line.

The WM1 is about 4 grams heavier than the p3ak. The WM1 is solid, stable, and doesn’t thud like a rock; the p3ak is nimble on the throw and is zippy. It’s surprisingly stable for a 61g (or 62g) yoyo. I’ve been playing the two consistently, and the p3ak honestly just feels like a WM1 that had its guts chopped out a little (EDIT: and high walls changed to accommodate more modern specifications). It’s very fun and a worthy successor to both the Peak and the WM1!

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I very recently took ownership of a WM1 and was pondering whether or not i needed a p3ak as well but now I’ll definitely try to snag one when they drop again. Excellent enabling

Got the p3ak and ptarmigan. Hands down the ptarmigan D is my favorite, it feels so premium in the hand, the weight, binds and spin time is insane. p3ak is alright, to light for my liking. Beautiful color tho. I hope more new undersize throws are d bearings.

Rain City Skills BFD. I can’t believe I took so long to getting around to buying it given I adore the Seti.

MK1 Onda. First impressions I really like it. It feels pretty light for the specs.
