I love mine but it also turns out it’s not an OG lol. It’s a fair bit bigger than the actual OG. So it must just be a one off of some kind. It was listed when I bought it about a year ago directly from Gates as “wooden yoyo” lol.

YUKICHI the Big Money
I was curious what this was about, as an uncultured westerner, so after some digging I have found that Fukuzawa Yukichi was an advocate for reform in modern Japan. He was an author, philosopher, writer, teacher, entrepreneur, journalist among other things as well as a statesman in the late 1800’s, and his portrait was on the 10,000 yen note from 1984-2024, hence the dates engraved (and the “Big Money” moniker)
He was considered one of the founders of modern Japan.

Man I’ve always liked that Hulk Smash First Base. I always wanted one of those and the ZipLine edition First base throws. I’ve heard great things about them being perfect all around beater throws.

Not mail but I got to meet up with @Ironical_Mothronocle1 on Sunday and didn’t get a chance to post until now. First off, amazing guy! We swapped throws and I was able to get these two beauties. Loving them. (My young son I think is stealing my confusion though)

2 solid go to’s! Ya know, I figured out of those three I’d be going to the first base last? Not so! It’s a great throw! Plus, the hulk smash dye job looks awesome when the light hits it right.
