I’m thinking about getting some new yoyo ball Barrings. But I don’t know which one works the best. I’m honking on buying the cantertrak barring or the ten ball barring. Can you guys tell me in what cases one is better than the other?
For the record, neither is better. Second, I fixed your post.
Personally, I just play what ever bearing comes in the yoyo. If the bearing dies, I replace it. I’ve never replaced a working bearing with a different bearing. I would rather put the money towards another yoyo. I know, I know, there are many that love to put ct’s and 10 balls in everything or concave bearings in certain yoyo’s, that’s fine, I just don’t feel the need. If I were to find a bearing that played amazingly better, then I might change my attitude. However, since I don’t replace working bearings with new bearings, I doubt that will ever happen.
Thank you!!
BY DA BARING DAT COMS WIT AL DA 1DROPS CAUSE DEY B DA BEST
it’s all about preference and honestly the bearing doesn’t make a whole lot of difference, just get a few and see what you like best, I personally am a fan of the crucial grooved bearing.
Yes as people have said, bearings do not make much of a difference. Normally the stock bearing will spin longer than you need to do your tricks. Although sometimes the bearing will make a difference if you are planning on doing horizontal play. I prefer the 10-Ball bearing from OneDrop( I prefer anything onedrop really, lol) but some people like grooved, concave, center trac, etc. But it is all decided upon once you have tried the different ones and see which one you like the most. Also I said it will spin longer than you need because most good competition combos are about 30seconds and a bearing can spin for a few minutes. So you have my opinion on the subject, the OneDrop 10-Ball, it is smooth as can be, and very long spinning.
Now to compare your two listings, the center-trac and ten ball. As I said before I love the OneDrop 10-Ball but I also like the center-trac bearing as well. It can spin long too, plus the concave downwards and then being flat makes it last very long. This is because if the bearing lets the string slip to the side and it is not a good bearing, it will create friction thus slowing down your yoyo.
they all work fine, but my personal favorite is the center track bearing because it mostly keeps the string in the center so it doesnt cause as much friction. But its your pick…
I would have to say that a dif-e-yo konkave is way better than a center trac, and if you’re going for a regular bearing, the One Drop 10 ball is amazing! People may say that the bearing doesn’t make the difference it’s all in the throw is on something. I have a cafe racer, and it comes with a standard C 8 ball bearing, and I was like this is an alright throw, I can do my tricks, and not really run out of steam, but I put a One Drop 10 ball in it, and holy cow did it make a big difference. It could be because it is an OD bearing, and OD designed the cafe racer, and put a regular bearing in to cut down on price. I think it’s a great bearing either way tho, and it’s only $7.99 on YYE, so you can’t really go wrong if you want to try it. I say konkave or OD 10 ball > center trac. Just try all 3, and see which one you like better. Honestly, different yoyo’s seem to like different bearings better, just see which one is it’s mate, so to speak. Good luck!
Center trac FTW. I had a onedrop 10 ball and it started geting scratching sounding about 1 1/2 weeks after I put it in. I don’t know if had anything to do with that I put it in a plastic. The center trac is very quiet and sleeps very long. My catalyst special edition came with a center trac and i play with it every day for about 2hrs. It is soooooooooooo quiet. Go with the center trac.
Two of my best performing bearings are both 6+ years old. One’s a Duncan (from an old Freehand2 with rubber rings, now rocking in a Nimbus), the other from a YYJ Mini Motu.
Did I mention I haven’t cleaned a bearing in over 3 years?
I’ve found that the Konkave bearing works better in V shaped yoyos and a flat bearing works better in rounded ones.
Thanks
