Throwing my Chief family today- 7075, 6061, Advance Scout, pickaxe.

Now I just need a standard scout to complete my collection :sunglasses:

Wait isn’t advance scout 7075?

I looked into this and couldn’t find anything verify it. As far as I know the advance scout is a prototype run of the scout.

Believe they’re both 6061, but I’d love to find out otherwise!

Aha!

The Advance Scout was a one-time only run of the original prototype version of the Scout. We really liked it, and it was really different from the final version in feel and play, and we decided to experiment a bit and release one batch of them.

The only difference you’ll see in the specs is that the production Scout is a gram lighter. Doesn’t seem like much, but in combination with the change in weight distribution it’s a large difference in how the return top plays.

My MC. I tried it with the aluminum side effects and a centering bearing, but I prefer it with the brass SE and standard bearing.

Another 5A May weekend upon us. I’m enjoying the new Duncan Freehand NeXt Gen. Mine however has been given the artful touch by John Higby, with a Confetti Cosmos custom paint job. Pretty Sweet :yo-yo:
