Man I want a ranchero.

My wife bought my first unresponsive for my birthday, a YYF Replay Pro. After learning a couple basic binds, I’m really enjoying unresponsive. I’m still working on the utility stuff (string tension, mounts, etc) but I am managing to throw a new trick or two in the process.

Another freshly made Knick-KNack proto.

This is a somewhat complicated question. The total number is around 60… however…

Mint A grades are -extremely- rare. There were maybe 10-15 of these.

“Battle damaged” was the main category, the vast majority are this way and had mostly verrry minor smudges, scuffs, tiny scratches.

Then about 5ish were just rejects… viby etc… and one was garbage truck wobbly.

Mixed into all of that is 3 different color combos… the dual weight rings came in silver/silver, silver inner w/ bronze color outer, and bronze/bronze… no idea what the specific numbers of each are off the top of my head.

Great yoyo! Learn those mounts. Have fun!

Only 15 A-grades? Sounds like quite an experimental design.

Oh you have no idea… It was designed to be the absolute extreme in performance designs… and it is.

That yoyo also cost me a fortune in losses. It took almost two years to complete start to finish. The coating is the major problem… mg is exceptionally hard to handle in that regard unless you powder coat it and I hate the feel of pc, plus it introduces vibe in production. I went through literally hundreds of coating shops, dozens and dozens of destroyed sample parts, and a ton of cash searching for a coating solution. Raw Mg corrodes badly with skin contact.

The coating ultimately is a ceramic conversion coating… basically an ultra complicated method of converting the surface of the magnesium into a ceramic compound.

It’s beautiful, it protects against corrosion well, but it picks up dirt and oil like crazy… given the production environment, shipping, etc. there were just tons of minor flaws.

99.99% perform absolutely flawlessly though… it’s just cosmetic flaws.

Been tossing a @neff sweetle today. I’ve really enjoyed it so far. Its my first oversized top. Still trying to figure out the best way to throw to get consistent boomerangs.

It’s the best thing in the case hands down, and I’ve got just a bit in said case. Thanks Kyle!

Awesome! Try tying off a few inches of string behind the button, see if shorter string helps your boomerang. And remember to wind nice and tight.

I love these clear KN Yoyos. Are they expensive?

I have never tried one of these, but they look very fun!

Considering it takes around 2.5-3 hours to make and the material is pretty expensive, I’d say that $80 is about right.

I’ve also put I a lot of hours of R&D to perfect it.

I would suppose that most wouldn’t value the time and effort it takes to make one and would call that expensive.

Welcome to the Forums. It’s actually made by Throwback Skill Toys. It’s a nice smooth throw. I’ve been liking midsized yoyos lately.
