Exactly! Lmk would gladly do so for the homies ![]()
Great solution for beat throws! Now we just need someone to nerd out with a homebrew ano service and we’re set
Loving my Return Bottoms Acorn Mini. A very nice mini throw. The MR85 bearing works its magic and gives the little thing a big thing feel. Playing with the Flying Lemon bearing and the skinny string it came with… unresponsive and really fun!! The patina is coming along nicely as well. ![]()
That patina is looking gooood
That looks awesome!!!
Hey there. I tumble some of my counterweights. Didn’t realize I could put a yo-yo in there. What material are the yo-yos you tumble and what media do you use? They looked dope!
I’ve been tumbling yo-yos in ss, ti, and al (6061/7068/7075).
For 6061 I prefer using only resin pyramid media. With harder alloys of aluminum, I’ll tumble in ceramic polyhedrons followed by the resin media. SS/Ti get tumbled solely in ceramic.
It seems that I am throwing one of the world’s best kept secrets.
Yo-yo factory recently released a signature model for Katie Thompson.
The yo-yo is called the Prevail.
An amazingly well-made and well playing yo-yo at what I personally think is an excellent price point, considering the performance potential of the yo-yo.
After giving it some thought… There are so many high-performance yo-yos released on a regular basis now from a number of makers, I guess it isn’t too unusual that a few may just go under the radar without much fanfare.
If you already arrived at that bimetal mindset and have pretty much decided to never look back… I got some news for you.
If you decide to consider a Prevail, you won’t be looking in your rearview mirror because it’s a mono metal.
This mono is a front runner.
I don’t have a crystal ball so I sell them make predictions that are too optimistic
But I will say that once even a small number of these find their way into yo-yo players’s hands, this yo-yo is gonna get some traction because it’s that good.
The Yoyofactory Prevail
That yoyo is so darn wide
How much they pay you?
