Please don’t randomly ask people about selling their yoyos, it’s not very polite. This is a thread where people post which yoyos they’re playing with, meaning they probably don’t intend to sell them. If you’re looking to buy something, then you should check the B/S/T category and the current Appraisal Thread often. You can also create a ‘looking for’ post in the BST category if you’re after anything in particular.
@zxin I don’t see how politely asking someone whether they’d consider selling a yoyo is inherently rude or disrespectful. It’s simply an expression of interest, not a demand or an expectation that they sell anything. They’re perfectly free to decline or ignore the question. I understand that this thread is intended for sharing what people are throwing, but that doesn’t mean someone can’t express interest in purchasing something they see. This is a community built around a shared hobby, and buying, selling, and trading are naturally part of that community. I think characterizing a harmless inquiry as impolite is a bit unnecessary, and publicly lecturing someone about etiquette is considerably less courteous than simply asking whether an item might be available for purchase.
