It’s pretty fun. I just switched to a thicker string (Zipline Tainted Love). I tried it with The Origin because it has more of a “normal” yoyo feel and has no crazy cuts etc. Please let me know how you like it when you try it!
RSOxDocPop The End Ti and some putting practice out back this morning with my first new disc in ~7 years.
That’s gorgeous. Is it considered a TK though? I would have guessed even though it’s unbranded it would be considered a BC.
Yes same thing really but what’s official @edhaponik
That James Conrad is a damn good player.
Time to get out and throw!!!

Yeah TK (meaning Brad lol) sold them as unbranded BC Lightnings. Technically a BC since TK never sold laminated non-takeapart, but made by Brad during the same period he was the sole maker of TK.
I have been throwing around my 5 star with a concave full Ceramic bearing like crazy lately. My change of pace is an Overture with a flat Semi-Ceramic bearing.
Never really tried anything but stainless steel bearings in the past, but I gotta say, I’m a believer now.
You know when you have the yoyo apart and flick the bearing? These things literally spin forever. Do I feel I get extra spin time on the string? Yes, and I know that statement is controversial to some, but I hang my hat on that statement.
I have yet to try a ceramic bearing just because I’m still not sure if the slight improvement in performance is worth the extra cost. One day I’ll have to see for myself. Beautiful Overture btw!
I did the same thing with my Stargazer. Wanted to add a performance upgrade for an older yoyo. I, much like you, found it really breathed new life into it. I’m not convinced my newer throws really need a ceramic bearing, but it really helped for my older ones.
I love that Galaxy Diver 7075 v2 colorway. I got the galaxy-ish acid wash. It looks good, but I was disappointed it didn’t have more pink and silver.
Heh. Anyway, throwing these lately. Been working on a long combo just for fun(about a minute on one throw, all Trick-a-Week tricks/elements).
Yeah, C3 did a nice job on that color way. Reminds me a bit of the Miami dolphins though.
That is a nice looking basket of throws you have.
