This 6 sided dice and several others were posted by the lovely Yours by Design Canada on MakerWorld.
They left them open to changes and commercial use. At this time we haven’t made weights from the other styles(other than personal use) but hope to eventually add those as well.
While this might be a simple enough print for most at home, it’s actually the weaving that is a skill in itself. So from us is the way to get one the correct scale, weight and fully assembled.
As usual the colors do vary in weight despite all being the same settings.
Purple and Blue are all 10.3 grams, almost 10.4 range. So basically the target weight.
White is on the lightest end and just barely ended up under 10.3
Yellow at 10.6 and orange at 10.5 are the heaviest
We also decided to design some for double dice, that are 9.5~ for the set if there’s interest in these we can print to order.
Use wise the squish make these super nice to hold, catch and not hurt like a solid chunk of material. Also more impact friendly on the yoyo just as previously mentioned with our Berriez. It’s a very nice rounded shape so no sharp edges or corners.
Even more exciting the way they can be manipulated adds areas for temporary string grabs/new mounts and also spring like launches using the right physics for certain tricks. With plenty of new and innovative stuff still to try and discover!
